And in the beginning....she drank a glass of wine.

Welcome! Hi! And Hello! My name is Shannon and I will (hopefully) be your new source to discovering and experiencing wine based in New York City and wine everywhere else. The two great things about me are:

1. I am twenty-three years old, so my experiences are often laced with my personal, professional, and quite often confusing life. I am talking to you, all of you other scrambling women and men in your twenties. I am here to let you know that you are not alone and in return I get to be reminded that I am not alone, especially when it comes to the hard things in life.

2. I love to travel. I love to travel so much that I've already planned a trip for 2017 and the world hasn't even turned to 2016 yet. Among my travels, I always put drinking wine at the top of my list to do.

Let me give you a quick status of where I currently am at in my life. I live in New York City, Queens borough to be exact, and to be even more exact I live in Astoria. Apparently, according to some guy on tinder that my roommate was talking to, we don't live in the COOL part of Astoria, but what can you do it's New York and ridiculously expensive. I live in a two-bedroom apartment with 3 other roommates, and one bathroom. Positive note, I do have a full size bed and a few feet of walking room on my side of the partition.
During the day, I work as an administrative personal assistant/office manager in a boutique investment firm in Midtown Manhattan. My job is the one thing that makes me feel like a true New Yorker; the hustling and bustling of pushing through people on the sidewalk just so I can make coffee for the guys in my office. At night and on weekends, I am first and foremost a professional dancer. I am currently understudying with a Duncan company called Dances by Isadora, where I continue my training to become a Duncan dancer.
My hobbies include: drinking wine, meal prepping, shopping online, going to brunch, going to happy hour, day dreaming of having more friends than I actually do, making lists, day dreaming of having a job where I make 100k a year but don't actually have to work.
Where I see myself in 5 years: is a great question and I have come to realize this is not a logical question thus cannot be answered, but if I'm being honest....I will be married, I will own a house, this house I own will be extremely cute from my decorating, and I will have that 100k salary job where I'm not actually working.

Thank you for taking the time out of your day to read about who I am and I do hope you come back! Please look out for my next post which will be coming within the next few days, where I will list my favorite wine bars and wineries.

"For what it's worth: it's never too late to be whoever you want to be. I hope you live a life you're proud of, and if you find that you're not, I hope you have the strength to start over."
